Looking for a great way to improve your knowledge of putting down on paper what you see? Join us for an in depth focus on portraiture, anatomy of the human body, proportions, value, composition, and more with Mandy Jones! 

This 3-day workshop taught is open to artists of all backgrounds and will focus on building a stronger foundation in figure drawing through charcoal. Charcoal and paper is the gold standard for learning how to render the human figure and to improve the understanding of form, proportion, and value. In this 3 day intensive session, students will work with charcoal from live, nude models to create a convincing charcoal drawings through additive and subtractive techniques. 


Price includes model fees. Easel and drawing horses provided if needed. Participants are asked to bring their own materials. Free beer provided by Yazoo Brewing Co.

Mandy received her BFA from Harding University and her MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. She currently lives and works in Nashville and teaches life drawing at Lipscomb University. Brown’s work has been exhibited both in the US and internationally, and is a part of many collections around the world.
